I just have to say that this week has been a great week for many campers with Epic Boot Camp. It has also been a great month and I can’t believe another boot camp session has come to an end. Yes I know today is/was test day and most campers hate running the mile. But nothing makes the trainers happier than to see everyone out there giving it their best! Nothing makes me happier than seeing campers shed off an inch here or 2:00 minutes off of their mile time. What an accomplishment!!! Today my campers really gave it their best effort when running the mile, during push ups, the plank, burpees, and sit ups. All of my campers improved on their times and that made me feel great because I am able to help them reach their fitness goals. Even with the measurements we saw a lot of campers lose inches! Such great results! This morning really made me excited for the day after seeing the results from all the hard work my campers put in this past month!
To all of our campers in Pittsburgh and Philly…the trainers are dedicated to you! They aren’t your typical gym trainer where they barely pay attention to you or don’t even know that much about you. They are dedicated staff that will respond to emails and focus on the campers at boot camp, and be excited when you see results. We want to see every single person that comes to our camps succeed. It is this day that reminds us why we do what we do. So cheers to all of you for all your hard work and dedication to better health, your families, to us, and most importantly, yourself!

The thing about working out on a Wednesday and then not working out again till Tuesday is that it stinks. Now you know I tried really hard to fit in long walks with the kids, and doing what I could to stay active, but no workout compares to the boot camp workout. Throw in a bachelorette party and staying out to 3 am on Saturday and you get the picture. So getting back into the swing of things on Tuesday was rough!
Jacob started the week out by basically telling us week 3 means no mercy, shorter breaks, longer reps, and we better keep up. So you can pretty much imagine that Tuesdays workout just about killed me. By Wednesday, I honestly thought I wouldn’t make it through- it was so cold, so dark, I could barely breathe. Thursday was more of the same. Those damn burpees!! WHY do you do this to yourself Joy (I know this is what you are thinking!) The thing is- no matter how hard it is, or how tired, or sore, or cold you are, you are doing for YOU.

Hello Campers,
Some of you may know me and some may not, I am Brian Fabian the trusted soul that Jacob has chosen to “run” the boot camps in Pittsburgh. I just wanted to send out a little message to all of you.
First, thank you so much for choosing Epic Boot Camp as your main source to guide you on the path to better health. We here at Epic understand how hard it is to finally make the decision to improve the quality of life, especially in these tough financial times, so we do greatly appreciate it. To those who have supported us in the past we greatly appreciate that!

For the 2nd week in a row, I actually worked out on a Monday morning. Which has like never happened, ever. Thanks again Chesco Moms
My husband had a scheduled business trip to New Orleans from Wednesday to Saturday this week, so in order to fulfill my 3 days a week at boot camp, I had to go THREE DAYS IN A ROW. Yes, there are many of you out there that exercise 7 days a week, I am not one of you. But this week I gave it my best shot!

Two weeks ago I received an email from my COO Brian in Pittsburgh. He had shared with me a story with one of our campers and how she had lost a significant amount of weight. One of our campers had joined Epic in Pittsburgh and made the commitment that she wanted to make a lifestyle change. For a year of coming to boot camp with Brian, she lost a total of 65lbs and followed her suggested diet plan that was designed by her trainer. 65lbs! That is amazing! I know it takes a lot of effort and dedication to lose that much weight, but it is possible and she proved it to herself over that year. What a great story.
